This tribe is for those of us who have started making $$ from home on GPT websites. Let's discuss which sites were working, what offers we love, and share how much $$ we're all making!

I use roboform so it's quick and painless to fill out everything.. I usually don't go the loan and pay day advance stuff because I don't like to give my SSN out and I don't like having credit checks done and alot of time they ask for you bank account routing #. It hasn't taken my life over or depressed me.. It actually makes me very happy when I get some spending cash! I usually don't download anything either... but thats a personal preference.. and the fact that dh gets really mad when I do!
so i am doing one 40 cent survey and it won't end...i have top of the line popup blckers and there are multiple pop up ads and it keeps asking me personal info and then i have to click no over 100 times just on step 4 of 4.....seriously this is worth it? you really make money with these things?
i actually clicked "no" to "do you like to read?" and i went to college for ten years
Yes No
What is your favorite candy, Skittles or M&M's?
how is that a yes or no question?
over 10 min for this one and no end in site...for 40 cents.....
why am i not liking this? what am i doing wrong?
in the end i had to sign up for two offers which cost money all of them for that freebie...i might have to give up. 10 min and i don't even get 40 cents. i will stick with ebay and etsy and hyena cart.
Check the background. After you go through about 3 pages there will usually be a window that pops up behind the other that says you are done. After 2 or 3 pages, you have done just about everything you need to do to get credit. Close the window and move on to the next.

I do have a question about the freebies. I know on most of them you only have to go to the 2nd page, but some of them you have to continue for several pages. How do you answer those endless yes/no bubbles? I feel like I'm going to get carpal tunnel from all the clicking.
TIA!
Stacy
Congrats on your earnings!
To take care of those annoying bubbles just highlight all the areas and hit ALT and the "+" key at the same time. It will fill in all the "no" bubbles. Make sure you only highlight the "yes" and "no" questions though. If you highlight another question that has a ton of bubbles then it will fill in every bubble. If the page just has "yes" and "no" bubbles then you don't need to highlight. Just hit ALT and +.
So, I just did a bunch of YSR surveys using Sherrie's trick about adding the dot, after I did it I got worried though..what if these are REAL people's email addys? I went to google to tried to register some of the emails I put in and they're already taken! YIKES!
So did I, unwittingly, just send tons of spam and other info to some person? and possibly MY info.. name and address?
The dot works, but Im not going to do it anymore... it seems too risky.
In addition to what Sherrie said, when there is a whole page of yes/no questions sometimes they try to trick you, and the answer that will give you a bunch more adds to look through is "no." For example, instead of asking "Are you looking for a new job?", they will ask "Are you happy with your career?" If you say no, they will offer you at home biz opps, or something. So do the alt + thing, but then look at the questions and switch those nos to yes. After doing it a few times, you'll be able to tell the ones that you need to do this with.
For the "none of the above" questions (the ones that have boxes to check instead of bubbles), you can create a custom field in Roboform to fill those out. You need to go to edit your identity, then scroll over to the last tab on the edit page - it should say "custom." Click on that and in the free version you can add up to three custom fields. To check off "none of the above," etc, put "none of the above" in the field name, "Y" in the field value, and no thanks , none of these, none, and no in the "other match strings." (push return between each of these. You can also use the other two custom fields to answer other questions you see frequently that aren't addressed in the regular Roboform fields. I use marital status and education level in those fields.

However, today not only can I NOT use the card, I also can't log in to see my balance... strange indeedy. It says invalid card information. HOWEVER, the one that I bought the end of August is still available (and has .15 on it!) so go figure. Don't think I'm liking Simon much.
CryPixie I'm afraid I'm not much help on the freebies. I've had hit or miss luck on them, some have credited just fine and others are denied for no apparent reason.
I can't access the info for my card either. I emailed them to find out what's up. I don't want to have to call customer service!
I just realized I sounded like a freak with my post. Sorry to barge in, I usually lurk, I just got really worried about finding out that the emails I used were already taken... Sherrie this is NO offense to you at all, you've been great.. Im just a worry wart about the internet and my personal info, then to find out the emails I used were taken really scared me.
In any case, I really hope those emails either don't work or they don't get anything...

Do you mean you are doing offers and not using your own valid email addresses? You must use your own email addresses which you have previously set up. You can't just go into the offers and start making up emails. The rules of every gpt site tells you that you must use valid, accurate information on all offers. Doing otherwise will get your account placed on hold. The rules are clearly laid out either on the homepage and/or in their terms of service.
And, yes, you did just target those email addresses for spam.
Can I suggest to everyone who is just coming into these programs that you take the time to read the information given on the gpt sites. If you aren't sure how to do something then ask the owner/administrator, check the forums on the sites (very helpful) or ask someone that has been doing this for a while to give you advice. I'm happy to help you understand how the programs work so send me a pm.
It's my misunderstanding totally.. from reading the info I *understood* to add a dot JUST for surveys.. to an email address I already own.. I do own the email address.. but not in every form.. Im such a dork.. I feel terrible..I not worried about being banned, that's my own misunderstanding, I feel SO bad about sending spam to someone..
ETA: Im not saying I dont care if Im banned.. of course I am.. I feel worse about using someone's email...
Isra ~ I'm confused lol. If you are using an email that belongs to you and just adding a period then the email is still valid and the spam should be coming to that email address. For example.. if my email is sherrie@gmail and I do a few freebie offers using variations like sh.errie@gmail or sh.e.rr.ie@gmail... then the spam generated from those freebie offers is still going to come to my sherrie@gmail.com address. Adding the periods doesn't change the address in gmail. It keeps it valid but it makes it look different to the offer site. I have not used periods in yahoo or hotmail but I've read posts by other members who claimed that it worked the same in hotmail.. not sure about yahoo.
Does this make better sense?
Get a gmail account. It does require an invitation. I'm running low but if someone here can't send you one then let me know.
I do use gmail.... OK let me explain.. the email address I own/registered at google is worangegrove@gmail.com..thats mine...
now, if I went to a survey and put w.orangegrove@gmail.com thats also mine? So, I 'own' every form of worangegrove@gmail and thats why if I go to register w.orangegrove@gmail.com it says its taken?
If so.. Im in the money! hahahahha.. please tell me thats how it works..
Grrrr...I keep forgetting to clear cookies after each offer! I'm doing okay as far as offers being accepted, but do you think I'd be doing better if I remembered to clear cookies?
I'm doing fairly well on DBP too. Maybe I won't spend so much time at Fusioncash...although I do have something like 14.70 already...I hate to just let that go.
Has anyone done one of these trials? I'm kind of interested, but, I looked at the terms & conditions, which don't list any address or phone number. If I decide not to keep it, am I at some point provide with contact information so I can return it? I don't want to sign up and find I'm stuck with it if I decide against it.

I have used a yahoo address and found that emails DO NOT arrive if I put periods in anywhere. It has been a problem because I had to reset my password with one of my trial offers before I realized that I wouldn't get the email with the new password. So now I can't log in to that particular site to cancel my trial. Very aggravating.
