I am trying to write a press release announcing the opening of my office (I have been doing this since January, but after a meeting with my business counselor, decided to take the bull by the horns and get my name out there!)

Anyway, I am having trouble coming up with the wording. I run a full charge bookkeeping service and specialize in small business, most of my work is off site, remote access, email, phone, although I do go on site a few hours a week. The potential client base up here is huge, I just need to make these businesses understand how important it is to have accurate books! Writing about yourself is the hardest thing, :

I need a catchy title, engaging wording to draw in the reader and make them feel like, if they dont call me, their business could fail! (OK, not quite so doom and gloom, hehe) The statistics are staggaring though, 60-85% of small businesses fail within 5 years because they dont keep accurate books!

Maybe throw out some title ideas, blurbs that you come up with off thetop of your head? I need help!

Thanks so much!

I have no idea, really, but can you PM me your rates? I think I need you.

ETA: You can hire a copywriter for $50 an hour. That's what I'd do.

Here are some ideas:

bookkeeping can be your biggest headache
outsourcing bookkeeping could be the best business decision you make
do NOT manage your books (hire me to do it instead!)
leave the dirty work to me
is an audit in your future? are you ready?

Good luck!

Where is the press release going?

Amanda Rose, author, Rebuild From Depression: A Nutrient Guide. Don't miss this opportunity to build a business telling friends about probiotic foods and grass fed meats: Beyond Organic Review.

Thanks!

This is just going in our local newspsper, and I have to have a picture of me working in my office to go with it.

Its more of a "Theres a new business in town", type of release.

Does your local paper cover stories like that? If not, you probably need to wait for a news event to tie into.

The release may get a reporter there to cover a story.

I used to work in PR and wrote tons of releases. It'd be a lot easier for me if I knew your paper (if I had a copy and knew what types of things they covered.)

PM me and I'll see what I can do.

No worries there! Its such a small paper, they will print just about anything! A moose on Main Street makes the front page!

A moose on OUR main street would certainly make news, LOL!

Post the link when it gets published!
