That's my question! I seem to be automatically calling this baby "he". I can't remember how early intuition set in with my others, and if I was ever misguided.

What are your experiences?

Yup - I was convinced this was a girl, had a beautiful name picked out by about 12 weeks (Evelyn Lily), but then had a level II and an amnio - the XY can't be refuted! It took months to come up with a boy's name, but we finally did.

Yep - I was CONVINCED DS2 was a girl. Maybe it was more the fact that I wanted a girl...I don't know. But my 2nd pregnancy was so different (better) than my first one, which I guess was really why I thought it had to be a girl. It was a let down to be wrong, I'm sorry to say. This time around I didn't even let myself think either way, and surprise, it's a girl!

Oh, defintely me. I apparently do not have very good intuition. I was sure dd was boy and then this one I was sure was a girl. Nope. I even keep saying she when talking about this babe and the u/s was pretty conclusive it was a boy.

I was convinced that ds was a girl. lol. So much that I didn't *really* believe the u/s tech that he was indeed a boy. (I didn't buy any blue until after he was born.) My mom was certain he was going to be a girl too.

I'm pretty sure this one is a girl too. So...I'd give it about a 50/50 chance. lol.

Same here. I chalk it up to wishful thinking though because I already have 3 boys but only 1 girl.

My mother has two girls and three boys. Each time, she had dreams where they were the wrong gender, had names easily picked out for the wrong gender but could not find one for what they wound up being, and strongly felt they were the wrong gender.
I have no input yet for myself, I don't know the sex and won't find out until it decides to come out...though that could be any day now

With my first four, I just *knew* what sex they were going to be. And I was right each time. When #5 came along, I was CERTAIN that I was having a girl. I announced it to everyone, only washed baby girl clothes, called her Elisabeth (didn't even think about boy names), and then she came out with an extra appendage. Oops. I refuse to have any intuition with this one.

I was convinced I was having a boy. I just felt it in my bones, and I leaned towards boy clothes and toys. I pictured myself with a little boy (both infant and child).

Nope! Nora is all girl!! And I love her to pieces!!

I had no clue with my first 2 pregnancies. With my last birth, though, things were SO similar to my previous pgs that I was convinced I was having a 3rd girl (although I had 2 names picked out just in case.) I didn't quite beleive it when he popped out with boy parts!

Thanks for asking this question! With my first pg, I refused to listen to any intuition. 90% of my friends & family thought I was having a boy and they were right. This time, I am convinced that I'm having a girl. I had strong feelings about it before she was even conceived. Last week, I had a vivid dream about having another boy. I woke up feeling confused, but thought maybe I had the dream because dh insists the baby is a boy (I think just to annoy me). I don't have a gender preference, but it seems like it would be disappointing if a strong intuition is wrong. Maybe I should start preparing for the possibility now!

This is something that I've been thinking about a lot lately. With my first, I was wrong (thought she was a boy.) But with my second I just knew without a doubt that he was a boy. With this pregnancy I am so convinced the baby is a girl, I really can't imagine anything else. I will be really shocked if I'm wrong. I guess we'll find out sometime in the next month.

I had a very strong intuition with #1, and when he came out a boy, it was no surprise - I already knew he was a boy! Then #2 came along... I had a very strong intuition that it was a girl. Decided to find out the gender at 20 week u/s, and lo and behold... it was a boy. I had actually been hoping for a boy, so it was good. Just disappointed me that my intuition was wrong!

So I've been 50% right so far. This one, I'm not really allowing myself to think what it is.

I was wrong all 3 times. Dreamed I was having girls, saw her, named her, and then saw the boy parts on the u/s.

I was certain that I was having a girl the first time and I was right. The second time I thought I was having a boy, but ultrasound showed girl. The third time I thought babe was a girl, but he's a boy (I kindof had a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that he was a boy, but really wanted a girl). This time I have a strong feeling that I'm having a girl, but since I've been wrong 2 out of 3 times, I'm trying not to get my hopes up for a girl!

Yes. I was 100% sure that my second child was a girl, and he was a boy. I would have bet any amount of money he was a girl. I was glad I found out when I was pregnant because it was such a huge shock.

My mother didnt have a ultrasound or anything when she was pregnant with me but the dr and my aunts all told her it was a boy, my heart rate or something I think. So they had a name for a boy and everything. . . I was a girl

Oh my, yes. With baby #3 I was sure I was having a boy, No one could convince me otherwise. I knew it was a boy. Where I lived they would not tell the gender at an ultrasound. I did not want a boy. I used to cry every day because I knew the baby was a boy and I didn't want that.
When baby was born the first words she heard me say was "don't lie to me!" because that was my reaction to the declaration of "it's a girl!"
