Us too. I have 5 boys and can't think of another boy name. Therefore this one must be a girl lol.

I heard one yesterday that was nice - Lincoln. Until I looked up the meaning, kinda odd but its still a nice name.

What kind of names are you interested in?

Expecting #9.  Always busy hsing.

Try www.nymbler.com

And this page at BTN.com too:

http://www.behindthename.com/nmg/masculine.php

Scroll through the alphabet....

There. Surely one of those sites will have the Perfect name, should it not already be in this thread.

Good luck!

Ooh, I love Lincoln, and the nickname Link.
It would be a bit weird for us to use though, because DS is Bram, which can be a nickname for Abraham.

We just this week FINALLY decided on a name for our boy who will arrive late Feb/early Mar.

JACKSON ELROY and we'll likely call him Jack. Elroy is dh's grandfather's name (one cool old dude!) who passed away in 2007.

I just wanted to say that you can look at meanings in different ways, if it is important to you. We liked Jack before we knew it was a boy, but then I found out that it means 'supplanter,' which means 'something that takes the place of something else.' This broke our hearts, because even though we loved the name, we couldn't fathom anyone taking the place of our little boy, Liam. But then someone suggested we were looking at the meaning in the wrong way...'look at it as Jack taking on the role of baby in the family, and Liam will be moving on to becoming a big boy.' That was all it took for us.

So what I'm saying is that you don't have to take stock in a name's meaning (which we were going crazy doing)...or you can try to look at the meaning in a different way.

Here are some other names dh and I each liked, but we couldn't agree on:
Adam
Finn/Finley
Dylan
Connor
Quinn
Harrison
Jake
Seamus (pronounced SHAY-mus)

Marilyn, wife to DH 09/02 and mama to my boys, DS1 11/06 and DS2 02/09, and a new one on the way in 06/12!

****5****10****bellycast.gif****20****25****30****35****40**

My brother named his boy, Rye
I named my son Obediah and we call him Obie

A friend of mine named her boys Naya and Soren--which are nicely unique
I personally like names that are common enough to have been heard before but unique enough to not make it on, say, the top 300 list

good luck! sometimes you just have to meet them first!

How about Zebulon? "Zeb" is a really cute nickname, too.

Unless the name has some other meaning for you (obviously).

I have a James (which is the same as Jacob - means supplanter or heal), but its dhs mn so it was important to us. But Lincoln means Settlement by the lake. Which it is a place name originally. But obviously ds wouldn't be a settlement by the lake lol.
