I am absolutely clueless when it comes to drugs and whatnot, but have found vague references by some people online that cervidil is synthesized from pig semen? Is this true or just an urban legend?

Thanks ye!

IIRC, Cervidil is made from porcine prostaglandins ~ pig semen. But my memory on this is a bit sketchy and I can't find much solid, unbiased fact with Google to confirm that.

well being that progestiglandins help to dialate the cervix, and its a lot easier to get it from pigs than people in quantity without being super expensive..i wouldnt doubt it for sounding crazy!

One of the 'ripening' pills is made from pig semen, not sure which one, though. Might very well be cervidil. It's certainly not cytotec, which is just evil.

Wow. Just wow. I allowed this to be used on me without much questioning, as I thought it was better than the pit the doctor was aiming for. I feel stupid now that I didn't insist on time to research it or ask more about it. I stay away from using animal products & never would have agreed to it if I knew what it was.
