I'm still here...

but my contractions are getting closer together ever since 5am, and i've been having pink discharge on the toilet paper ever since about 9 am. not bad, just like a really light period, but only when i pee, not all the time.

i'm trying to rest up b/c i really think this might be it this time, but i'm excited and nervous.

send me some happy labor vibes! If i'm still around, i will try to post later.

Christy, sounds like you're on your way....... I was "losing" the plug the entire day the day before Gillian was born. Hang in there!

Tammi, what cute pictures..... she's adorable.

Bec, also very cute pictures...... life gets a little easier when your milk comes in... suddenly baby is more satisfied!!

Good luck everyone.... I need to join in the "life with baby" thread - sometime............

WE'RE STILL HERE!!

just took a walk, and that seemed to help, but so far my contrax are staying at about 30sec-1.5 mins every 5 to 15 mins apart. I just had some bloody mucus, but not much.

Maybe it will be tomorrow this baby is just stubborn!

oh well, at least i don't have to worry about getting induced anymore, LOL. :LOL

ETA: if i keep posting like this, i won't have to post a birth story, LOL.

Unlike me Christy. you should have it all in one post.
Your birth story that is.
My baby has been nursing for the most part of the last 2 hours.
I'm lucky Jonathan has been sleeping.
I'm on a break.

This post sounds like it should be in "life with a babe".

Congratulations Plaid Leopard! I've been in "labor" for 15.5 hours now, but it hasn't been so bad until the past 30 minutes, LOL. I updated the website with your baby's birthdate, and when you pick a name, email me, and i'll update the site.

let's see if I can make it through the night, LOL!!

Congratulations Plaid Leopard!

No news here. This kid seems like he/she is settled in for the long haul. I can see my self actually hitting my due date this time! I've got all the Christmas stuff done, all the baby stuff is ready, all the home birth stuff is assembled....now all I have to do is wait and wait and wait. You'd think I was overdue with how impatient I am. I guess since dd was 3+ weeks early I just kinda thought..........

Good luck Christy! Sounds like this is it. Sending peaceful labor vibes your way.

Yay Plaid Leopard!

Come on Christy! Hoping your next post is the "announcement!"

Sizzkid, I share the impatience...of course, I share it only with you ladies--no complaining IRL. I know you guys can take it and not make dumb comments that only make me feel worse... I'm not "due" for another almost 2 weeks, but I really really really feel ready.

My boss called again last night and I chastised him, telling him his calls make me feel pressured. He laughed, but I was serious. Oh, well--he's leaving the country today and won't be back until after baby comes.

I HATE "when's the baby coming" phone calls. Why are these people calling? Is it just to be nosey?

I awoke with ctx this AM at 2, nothing painful, actually--in comparison to my back labor experience--these kind of felt good. Really low, just strong pulling. About 30 sec long, every 8-10 minutes, went on for about 3 hours...dh left for work, I tidied the house and returned to bed. I think I had some more in my sleep--if my dream was any indication--and I awoke to another around 7. Have not had another, but now I have bloody mucus, which has me in an excellent mood. That's more than I have seen come out of that end in such a long time. Yippee...

I am going to strip beds and wash sheets and stuff, just in case we have company coming to stay with ds soon. Tonight would be nice, but tomorrow would be OK too...:LOL I'm fairly confident this baby is indeed coming by solstice at the latest.

I can totally understand how some of you are feeling a little impatient.... I only went two days past my due date, and those days were REALLY tough. Hang in there..... it will happen SOON.

I've thought to myself in the last few days, "If only I could be pregnant for one more night, so I can SLEEP" :LOL
I've not gotten more than two hours at a time for the past two weeks and its really hard to function, my poor ds is not getting the attention he needs, although I do try to do things with him, sometimes its impossible with a baby on my boob!
Gillian LOVES my boobies, I think she thinks they're the only things worth paying attention too..... she's so cute!

Wow, this thread is really dead all of the sudden. All those new babies must be distracting. I hope everything is going well with the few of us still waiting for our babies. I actually slept really well for a change last night. I only had to get up once to pee!! : I'm hoping that dh and I'll be able to get in to see 'Lord Of the Rings' tonight! Hopefully we can find someone who wants to wait in line for us.

Luckily my little seems to be sleeping better, she slept well last night - one 3 1/2 stretch and one 3 hour one....... WOooHooooo

I can't wait to hear from Christy, she MUST have had her little one by now.

:LOL sounds like YOU too have been "caught" - Gillian has "caught" me MORE than once, in fact probably 5 times or more, just when I think she's done pooping and I have her on the changing table, she'll poop just a little more.....
A few nights ago, I ended up changing her THREE times during one nursing session.......

wow! congratulations on all the beautiful new babies and labouring mamas!! i looked on christy's site and all our babies have such lovely sounding names, i envisioned many plump bundles.

life with two babies under 2 is busy... i am slowly getting into the swing of things and we even all had a nap at the same time the other day!! (woo-hoo!! a ridiculously large achievement!)

i just love them to bits, it's great

Hah!

I had just read these posts and then went and got "caught" myself.

Anyway, my sweet baby boy finally has a name-

Félix Léo
(pronounced the French way - so it sounds more or less like Fayleex Lay-o)

We are all adjusting to having the baby here. My other two kids are doing pretty well with it. DD wants to nurse all the time - but both the kids love to kiss Félix, they sing to him when he cries, hold his hand...

I am working on my birth story but it is long so maybe I will try to edit it before I post it.

congrats christy and welcome little sage!

(my labor with dd#1 was 36 hrs from the very beginning, but dd#2 was 6hrs from the very first twinge, so don't count on a repeat performance!)

take it easy and enjoy your time with your new sweet one.
