I'm all paranoid about the fact that I'm starting to feel better from my morning sickness.
Pregnancy 1--started to feel better around 14wks, m/c at 14.5
Pregnancy 2--sick right up through week 13 when u/s revealed fetal demise
Pregnancy 3--sick through week 11 when u/s revealed fetal demise (and had some ongoing symptoms as I waited another three weeks to actually miscarry)
Pregnancy 4--finally carried to term, but was sick right up to week 15...in other words, by the time I got to feeling better, I was within a week of feeling fetal movement...

So, I'm currently 11.5wks pregnant, feeling a lot less tired and only sick on some days, and so of course i'm paranoid about something being wrong... I live in rural Alaska and do not have access to a provider with a dopper (won't until the end of May) so I can't verify heartbeat...and of course I'm not feeling fetal movement yet... A lot of people have told me that they got to feeling better from their m/s by this stage, and i'm wondering if maybe this baby is just a different sex from the last one and that could account for the difference??

There is so much unknown in early pregnancy it's hard not to freak out. With DS1 I was sick from about 8 weeks to about 16, w/DS2 I was sick from 6 weeks to 17. I'm 6.5 weeks now and not feeling more than a passing queezyness now and then, and that has me worring too. Although I'm also really moody and emotional and tired, so I'm pretty sure I'm still pregnant, but I'm kinda looking forward to the ms kicking in because that's what I'm used to. Hang in there, It may be a sticky one yet.

I get sick at 5wks on the dot (or did with the 4 where I knew my ovulation date...I actually used the beginning of m/s to date this pregnancy because I'm breastfeeding and my charts are all messed up, )
i'm having a lot of diff symptoms this time...so I'm really wondering if maybe this is just a girl (last one was a boy) and maybe diff m/s is just a part of that.
Yeah though, I'm a little paranoid. I hope this kiddo is a good kicker, and that I feel him/her sooner rather than later!!!!!

With #1, I was sick for a few weeks during 1st trimester, but with #2, I threw up every time I brushed my teeth for 9 months!!! I changed toothbrushes, toothpaste, tried kiddy paste, everything I could think of & it didn't help. Honestly, there were some days that I just flat out refused to throw up, so I wouldn't brush my teeth!! I know it's nasty, but some days I just needed to feel human!

With #1, I had what was more like normal morning sickness except it lasted 20 weeks and came back at 36 weeks. With #2, it was more severe, borderline HG, and I was on fluids several times it got so bad. It lasted about 25 weeks. With #3, it was very severe in the beginning, nauseous all day and vomiting multiple times a day. I'm still vomiting at 23 weeks, been on fluids only once, and have to take Zofran 2-3x a day, every day.

For all of my pregnancies, I have m/s for the entire pregnancy. The vomiting usually tapers off by the third tri, but I still feel sick the entire time. This is my 3rd pg and it has been the only one where my vomiting was getting so out of control (the worst that it got before I got on meds was about 6+ times a day) that I have had to take my meds every day. If I forget to take them, I feel really awful again and pay the price. I'm currently 27 wks. I think I am one of those women who is allergic to being pg... b/c I feel miserable the entire time and have a lot of difficulty understanding why some women loving being pregnant.

Oh and for me, my pregnancy losses I had no morning sickness during. Nothing. But they were all early losses (5 weeks, 8 weeks, 8 weeks).

With DS I felt better at 15 weeks, this time around it was 28 weeks and now at 31 weeks I still have bad days (but at least it's not all day everyday!).

Wow, the answers are pretty across the board here. I got over it by month five, but now acid reflux is setting in. Argh!

With my first pregnancy, it was 10 weeks and an U/S at 11 weeks showed an embryo that only measured 9 weeks. I had a lot of other warnings that I was going to miscarry though.

With my second pregnancy, it was 16 weeks and that baby is now 4 weeks old.

With my first pregnancy I never had any M/S at all. Ever. Never.

This time, I was sick straight through about week 18 and then still had a ton of aversions until 3rd trimester.

My midwife just kept assuring me that each pregnancy can be SO different.

with #1, i felt queasy/barfy maybe 4 or 5 times, total (boy)
with #2, i had pretty frequent m/s until about week 16ish (girl)
with #3, i had horrible m/s, which lasted until 2 weeks AFTER she was born (i guess my hormones were still pretty out of whack.) (girl)

i chose other because of #3. i dunno if gender has anything to do with it, it seems like the stereotype held true for me, but i've had friends who were horribly sick with boys and had little or no m/s for boys.

I get sick starting at around 6 weeks and although it does get better I never feel great.
I am extremely, insanely nauseous until about 16 weeks and mildly nauseous (at least) and on meds throughout the whole pregnancy (with DD and so far with this one).

Yeah, and the reflux kicks in immediately. :

I hope all is well. And hugs to the mamas who are still vomiting. I am on Reglan now but can't imagine having to still take Zofran- it was sooo terribly constipating that I was even more miserable.

In my first pregnancy I only vomitted a few times but was nauseous almost all day... I can't remember when it began, but ended at about 15 weeks... That pregnancy gave me a happy and healthy baby girl...

This is my second pregnancy, and the morning sickness began at about 5 1/2 weeks and I have constant nausea...the only time I am not nauseaous is when I am alseep. I too find it difficult to eat... it seems more like a chore.... but I do force myself to eat... I have vomitted, but only when changing baby #1's poopy diapers. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant, work full-time, and am completely exhausted and ready to feel better!!!!!!!! I try my hardest to stay positive... My hubby and I are so happy to give out daughter a sibling!

Man, I WISH I could have slept when my HG was at it's worst. The nausea was so bad it would wake me up and I'd vomit. Or it would just keep me up from sheer discomfort.

It started getting better around 10 weeks, but wasn't completely gone until around 15-16 weeks.

I had to vote "other" because I honestly don't remember exactly which week it was, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the EXACT same week with all 3 pgs. Plus things were easier with my 2nd and 3rd pgs since I was better prepared: I knew what kinds of things triggered nausea so I was able to implement those things sooner and more completely. I went through a whole lot of trial and error with my first, and that meant I felt sick more often.

It's been different with each pregnancy (all girls). I've been very sick for up to 6 months (3rd and 4th) and hardly sick at all for any of it (5th).
