Hello mamas!
Does anyone know if there's any merit to the claim that pg women should avoid eating green papaya, as it may cause uterine contractions/abortion??

*nervous, having just ate about a cup of cooked green papaya in chicken soup*

thanks...

fwiw, my acupuncturist (who also happens to be a midwife) said not a problem (in case anyone else was wondering...)

yay! (but I have to admit, I probably won't eat it again until after the baby's here!)

I don't know about that but when I was pregnant in Costa Rica dh's coworkers kept sending him home with unripe mango for me. Supposedly it's good for pregnant women?!
