I noticed that there are 2 bradley books online. Which one should I get?

This one is quite a bit newer:

...and here's the other

I read both of them back when I was preparing for my first natural birth (2nd baby). Husband-Coached Childbirth is more a background of Dr. Bradley's thoughts and observations about birth. Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way is more of a how-to. So, if you're looking for a book that focuses on preparation, Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way is probably what you want.

Just comparing the table of contents' it looks like the first one has a lot directed at the husband. ...like it might be a good book for him.

I plan on doing hypnobabies, but I kinda just wanted to look over a bradley book and maybe go over a few sections with dh.

Natural Childbirth... It was written by a woman and while I appreciate Dr. Bradley, and we did do the Bradley classes while pregnant with our oldest, I prefer the perspective a woman whose btdt. It is much more instructive to the whole process as well.

Oh, and not sure about that newer edition of Husband-Coached... Bradley died several years ago. Maybe some of the research has been updated or it is just a new print???

Also want to add that the one Bradley wrote is kind of outdated. There are some good things, don't get me wrong, but he advocates episiotomies amongst other things.

I would think the second one would be what you are looking for.

I agree with the PP. One is written for the husband and is just about his philosophy, and one is a how to. I really did not appreciate the chauvinism in the one written by Bradley. (Nor his justification of episiotomies for sure.)

I'm Kellie :, married to Chris , and mom to one baby girl (7/12/09).
