Hi guys,

I've been having dull cramp like pains on my right side and I don't want to get ahead of myself and call my midwife or anything. I'm only 5.5 weeks pregnant and I'm guessing I just strained something but I need some reassurance/advice. TIA!

i had tons of cramps in the first 8 weeks, everything was TOTALLY fine.

it was probably my little ovary working hard to give me all the progesterone i needed. I did go in once it was making it hard to walk so i could get a scan to rule out ectopic issues, the looked and it was all fine, they also said that the cramps are super normal and nearly everyone has them for some period of time.

I'm 16w and i've had fairly constant dull aches the entire time...I've been told if it's not worse than AF cramps and not accompanied with spotting/bleeding then you're fine

from what i've read that is the corpus luteum making progesterone! That's what my midwife told me and i've read in the pregnancy books, unless it is severe pain don't worry yourself.
