Last night I bumped the side of my stomach into the railing of my stairs. Well today, the area where I bumped my stomach is sore. It feels like a bruise. I am RH- and I remember the doctor telling me if I have abdominal trauma, I have to get the shot.
I am not sure how much trauma is needed, do you think I should be concerned? Would getting a bruise on my stomach be enough to cause mine & the baby's blood to mix?
If you are worried I would certainly call your doctor just to put your mind at ease.
However, I bruise easier during pregnancy. I think because of the increased blood volume? Same reason your hands can get red?
That's good! God bless home dopplers. My doc is always like "you shouldn't do that" I'm like "uh, yeah when was the last time YOU were pregnant Mr.?"
