I haven't been drinking my RRL, because I'm paranoid... I get Braxton-Hicks every day, and they come really regularly (like, every few minutes) for an hour or two at a time. I'm only 20 weeks, but this is my third pregnancy, and I don't have any other signs of pre-term labor, so I'm assuming it's just normal. Anyway, can I/should I still drink my RRL? I'm so terrified of going into labor early, it was a recurrent nightmare in my last 2 pregnancies that I went into labor at 27 weeks, and I've already had one baby spend over 4 months in the NICU... would it be better to just skip the RRL, or will it not hurt anything if I drink it?
I can't imagine that it would put you into early labor, but I stopped drinking it around 34 weeks and it made a huge difference in the amount of BH I was having. I'm really glad I stopped. This is my second pregnancy.
i get alot of BHs also, and they've been very frequent since my second trimester. I didnt really start drinking lots of RRL until later in my second trimester, but after I have a good strong cup I can pretty much count on the BH starting. RRL won't cause preterm labor, but it is a uterine toner/strengthener so when you drink it, its generally supposed to make your uterus go to work! my midwife was very reassuring in the beginning of my pregnancy and flat out told me that RRL will not put me into labor so I could drink away. Be thankful for the sucky BHs..it just means your labor will be that much faster because your uterus will be pumped and ready to go!
Its a GIRL!!!!
