Are there any concerns with being stung by a bee, wasp, or yellow jacket while pregnant? The sucker got me while I was outside playing with my son. I didn't see a stinger and tried to squeeze to see if there was one. I think maybe it was a yellow jacket. I'm 26 weeks pregnant. Anyway, I'm not allergic but was wondering if there were any concerns when stung while pregnant.
I don't have any medical background or anything, but I was stung once during my last pregnancy and once during my current one and to my knowledge it had no lasting impact. The 1st time I was around 10 weeks and the 2nd time I think I was only 8 weeks along. Both times it hurt and the site of the sting got a little swollen, but I had no large-scale allergic reaction. And to my knowledge, my daughter had no ill effects. I'm sorry you got stung.
