How is everyone?

I had my 6 week check up with the midwives yesterday. DS2 has gained 2 lbs in 4 weeks and has grown 3 inches since birth. So...he's 9#8oz and 23 3/4"! joy.gif

I don't know if I shared how worried I was about going back to my 3 shift/week night job, but I got a new job!! It pays much better, is day shift, AND I get to set my own schedule. I'm required to work an average of 1 shift/week, but I'd like to work more than that (but less than full-time) if possible. So I will be trying to work 4 in a row every other week. If I'm able to average 2 shifts per week I'll actually bring in more money that I do now full-time.

Any belly pics?

34.5 weeks

Getting really achy, and starting to freak out a little at the fact that I'm considered term in less than 3 weeks! I am mostly ready though. I just need to finish chapter 7 for work, get a few more small miscellaneous things, install the carseat and assemble the crib.

Ok ladies!

After 2 and a half years (30 months), one chemical, and lots of heartache, I GOT MY BFP!!!!

It looks like staying off the BSL board for a little bit and just staying positive must have been just the thing..and the good Lord decided the time was now.

I'm very nervous, so I'm cautiously joining. This is brand, brand new still. But I am very nauseous, started getting m/s at 10dpo! Also I have almost a burning, crampy sensation off and on..this is just like what I had with DS, but sooner than I had it with him.

We've had an unbelievable amount of stress going on lately..so I am still pretty shocked that it even happened, but thrilled of course!!

Also, I haven't stalked over here in a while, so let me say that all the new babies are soooo beautiful and sweet!! MBA, SweetBee, and Lavatea..CONGRATS and I know you are so proud.

Kyamo- You look fantastic! Hang in there, you are so close. You are going to do just fine, even if it is really soon.

Monkey- Congrats girl!!!!  I hope you are feeling better and also that we can still be friends.

How is everyone doing? I am so excited to be over here..and scared...so please keep me in your prayers/thoughts..I really want this to be a sticky, healthy baby!!!

Lilmom- Congratulations!  So glad you made it over here.  I knew it would happen.  Praying for a sticky baby for you.

Kyamo-beautiful belly!

Lavatea-Yeah for a new and better paying job and a healthy growing baby boy!

Hope everyone else's week is going well.

AFM-We are swamped with house remodeling.  I am often only sandwich and errand girl because of all the things I can not do.  But I have been painting cabinet doors outside with Zero VOC paint and other such pregnancy approved tasks.  We will be moving in a couple of weeks.  It is good to be busy.  I keeps me from being to anxious.  Baby has been moving around a lot.  Almost half way there!

lilmom - joy.gifjoy.gifjoy.gif So excited for you!! And of course we can still be friends... I have been stalking you every so often, hoping to see good news from you. I will definitely keep you and your little bean in my prayers. But I think all the early symptoms are a good sign!!

Kyamo - Lookin' good, lady! That baby's going to be here before you know it!

CACG - Glad you're keeping busy, and hope your remodel gets done in plenty of time for you to nest!

AFM, doing better all the time. Some slight setbacks along the way (as far as feeling good), but definitely so much better than earlier in the pregnancy. Just a few more days till my next mw appointment, then I'm pretty much on to the second trimester!

Lava, congrats on the better job and so happy to hear your little guy is getting HUGE.

Kyamo, you look so cute! It sounds like you will be ready for the baby when it's time.

Lilmom, I'm happy to see you here! smile.gif

CACG, yay for keeping busy!

Monkey, hang in there, and I hope you start feeling better soon.

AFM, I had my first OB appointment last week (I was seeing my RE before that) and my doctor classified me as high risk, so I see a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist this week. Another ultrasound, which I guess I'm glad of because I'm still spotting from my bleeding episode almost two weeks ago. I think everything is ok, and my symptoms suck so much it would just be too cruel for anything to be wrong. I'm of two minds about the MFM--I want to keep the babies safe and get them here as healthy and fat as possible, but I chose the OB practice specifically because I can't get the health care I want in my city. So the MFM is where I live, in the "big city" with all the hospitals, and I go out of state for the chance to deliver vaginally at a birth center with my OB, in a smaller town, in a place where I can have a birth plan if I want to. I really don't like my city.

Congratulations lilmom! It's great to have you over here! joy.gif

Monkey, I'm glad you're still feeling better and better. The second trimester is so much easier.

Kinza, I'm sorry you have to switch providers. Maybe you can find a specialist who will let you attempt a vaginal birth if the babies are in a good position at the end?

Kyamo: I'll still be seeing my OB, I'll just have to see the MFM also. Circumstances will choose which practice gets to deliver the babies in the way they think best, though.  Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound worse than it is.

Kinza- healthcare can drive a person crazy can't it? I wish everyone could just have the birth they want to have with the provider they want. Sigh. I hope it works out how you want. Good luck!

Kyamo- Don't add me just yet. I'm too nervous!

The thing is I'm not super invested in a certain type of birth. I just don't want to be forced into a c section if there is no reason for one.  My city is seventh in the nation for c sections, and I have not heard of any multiple births in the last five years or so that weren't sections. I would prefer no unnecessary major surgeries, is all. Well, I would prefer my spine not have a needle stuck in it, too, but that might not be negotiable.

Hello BSL ladies!  I have been off this site for a while and it looks like the main BSL thread has faded out over in TTC.  I also don't know the new ladies there anymore!  However, I do read this thread every few weeks and see who's graduated, having twins or more, whose babies have arrived earthside and even have their very own names now :)

I am 2.5 years into trying, in fact we pretty much gave up trying and have been otherwise occupied with many life changes as well.  Anyhow, I actually think I might be PG after all this time and wanted to shout my brewing excitement out to someone who might actually remember me.  It seems like almost everyone graduated without me even from BSL before I stopped visiting there (it's so absolutely wonderful that most BSLs DO graduate!).

I'm putting off testing so I'm gonna burble about symptoms.  Please humor me!  I am not going to talk this up IRL AT ALL and I am even rationalizing it all away in my mind now with alternative explanations.  ...How many BFN cycles have I done now?  I know for sure this one is different.  I am only 11dpo (out of typical 12 day LP) but have watched my temp drop by this time month after month after month.  My cycle has its quirks, and I know them pretty well.  I've been through wishful thinking that I'd started to go triphasic, but this time it's for real triphasic.  (I don't plug temps into a chart, but I take and track temps just to mark O day and watch the rise and drop)  My normal temp at this time of my cycle is 97.6 and creeping downward, now it's been over 98.1 solidly for several days.  It's actually rare for me to get over 98.0--and if so only 1-2 days around 7-8dpo.

So before O it was in the neighborhood of 97.0, after it goes 97.5-97.8 for a few days, hits 98.01, goes down to 97.8 and THEN five days 98-98.1--that's triphasic for sure.  I think I even had my highest temp ever in there.

Also, I check my cervix and it always gets loosely open by now.   Always.  It went tightly closed two days ago and hasn't hinted at opening.  I even had the most tiniest spotting yesterday.  I never ever have spotting leading up to AF, but this tiny spot did NOT turn into AF as expected and my cervix is STILL tightly closed.   All the symptoms I associate with my progesterone peak, which last 2-3 days max, have now extended to 5-6 days with no hint of fading.  I always get some boob symptoms, for instance, but they are mainly around 8-9dpo.  Now they aren't going away!  I am amazed!

Our oldest dd will turn 18 in September.  Our youngest dd will be 10yo exactly 2 days before this possible due date.  Oh, my!  We got a VR in 2009 hoping for a 2010 baby and had reached the point of believing that it just hadn't worked and that was that.  I obsessed for SO long wanting this and was just starting to adjust really-and-truly in my heart to giving up my hopes for something I couldn't have.  And maybe I am just having a completely deceptive cycle even now.  But I feel so filled with a different energy than in any other cycle that I am already feeling energized.  (I suspect the energized feeling is a real symptom too LOL)  At this point a BFN will be such a slap in the face.  A BFP OTOH will have me dancing through the clouds.

Thanks for reading!  (I am such a giddy AAM kind of girl today.)

Littlest Birds!!! It is so nice to see you! I totally get wanting to come over here to talk about it! I think it sounds really good. I am hoping to see you over here and have you be my pregnancy buddy!

It just happened for me after 2.5 yrs. So it CAN happen! I am hoping Sunday is THE day!!!

AFM, I have had 3 instances of spotting (brown), that have scared me half to death. However, nothing since Tuesday, so I'm just holding on for dear life over here, and praying that everything is going to be ok. I'm still nauseous. I am basically resting as much as possible. When I start to feel crampy, I lie down. It's just scary. I am almost to the point where I was at when I lost the last one. Of course, I don't know if I will feel much better about things until after 12 weeks. I think after my first ultrasound that will help too, if it is all good news. I guess I'm saying, pray for me girls!!!

That would be so delightful lilmom... I do hope we both make it to that point, though it's certainly feeling less likely for me.  I did just read an old thread by ladies who had some spotting or bleeding and it turned out okay.  We know it happens--but seeing blood is so disappointing and scary.  Fingers crossed for you.

I have also been spotting.  All pinkish to a little red in color.  Not really normal for me for AF but it probably is after all.  I was feeling so sure since I had spots at 10dpo and then nothing more and made it to 13dpo.  My temp is down slightly today though still quite high, my cervix is still closed but I am spotting anyway.  AF would usually come yesterday or today.  I felt like my body gave me a BFP already it seemed that clear to me.  (Gullible! LOL)   So for some reason my cervix is even now very different than the many other cycles I've monitored it, but I am pretty sure I'm out.  Maybe my cervix is a little swollen or irritated (and that's why I am only spotting instead of starting because it's not open enough yet), maybe I had a low-grade fever, maybe my progesterone was a little higher than usual.  I will always think it's likely to have been an early loss but I'll never be sure.

I'll still test if I have a high temp  and no AF but I am expecting to be brokenheart.gif tomorrow with both a low temp and full AF with no need to face a little blank white test window as well.  Anyhow, thanks for the support and kindness, gals!

Oh, Littlest Birds! I'm so sorry. I hope everything will take a turn for the better tomorrow. Let us know the results of your test! It is so awful to have that feeling of just *knowing* something was going on and now it isn't, and not really knowing. But I really hope it is your time. Hang in there, either way.

Wow, sweet.bee - rolling over already?? Sounds like she's a nice chubby baby, too!

AFM, had my second mw visit last Friday, and baby is doing great! Strong heartbeat, tummy growing like it should, gained a bit of the weight I lost earlier back. I just passed the 13-week mark, so I'm feeling a lot more confident about this pregnancy. We announced it to the world on Saturday, which has been fun. I still throw up every morning, but I usually feel better later in the day. Hoping to some day get past that point!

Hey y'all, it's true I was in fact out.  Reminded how much I wanted this :(   What a bad day that was for me.  Sorry to crash the thread with my OT TTC TWW stuff.  You're truly great gals!

Lilmom, I very much hope your little bean is sticking with you.  I loved reading that you had a BFP after 2.5 years.  It does make it feel so special, and ready to perhaps forgive the universe for making your journey so long after all.  I felt a taste of that long-awaited joy and I want desperately for you to have it.  Be well, BSLs.  May your futures be filled with all the best blessings.
