My healthy habit is to take 5 minutes each day to appreciate ONE thing in my life that I am grateful for. It could be a simple as the growing basil in my backyard or the 1 paragraph I wrote for my book, or a picture of an old friend. Remembering EVERY DAY the beauty in life and nature helps me relax, keep focus and enjoy life more.
I cut down my soda habit big time by making a big pitcher of herbal tea every morning. Many flavors, like mint or apple cider, are sweet enough on their own and don't need extra sweetener. I try to drink the whole thing during the day, which ensures that I'm very hydrated. And when I'm not feeling good, I can make medicinal teas and get better at the same time!

My healthy habit is to eat my veggies first--that way you don't get tempted to snack on other things and end up skipping the salad. Bonus points if the veggies are from a CSA. :)

I started my favorite healthy habit back when I was 16 and on the verge of getting a driver's license. I vowed to still use my bike as a regular means of transportation. 15 years later my hubby and I still use bikes to commute to work, go to the library, grocery shopping, and exercise with our friends and family. It's a sustainable choice which not only keeps us active, but gets us closer to nature and our neighborhood, while reducing our energy footprint. I'm looking forward to having our family expand and having them ride with us.
My healthy habits are drinking lots of water and not eating refined sugar. I gave up all sugar except for organic blackstrap molasses (which I drink in warm milk) and I feel amazing! No more headaches or tiredness!
