Curious, what's the big deal about what trimester you are in? Why did the docs choose to split it into three parts vs two or four? Why do we celebrate starting a new trimester? *chuckles*

*** That being said.... I started my third trimester today- hoorah! (;

My blog at www.rememberbaby.wordpress.com, filled with letters to my little one starting from 5 weeks pregnant until now!

The division into trimesters is loosely based on foetal developmental stages. I guess we celebrate the end of each trimester because we like to celebrate milestones and are excited about getting closer to having the baby.

Human beings enjoy celebrating all sorts of milestones. Life is gorgeous. Congratulations on entering your third trimester!
