Hi everyone! Cautiously happy to have received a BFP this am (at 11 DPO). I had an ectopic in 2006, and since have had 2 healthy pregnancies. The first time after the ectopic I was closely monitored by a fertility specialist; the second time I went in for an early ultrasound. I have heard other ladies say that their HCG blood levels were followed closely in the beginning. Does anyone know what the proper protocol is? And, starting when? I figure at DPO 11 it's too early, but maybe in about 5 days, when I'm technically late, as long as I'm still pregnant, I can call the doctor and set up an appointment. What did your doc suggest for you?

I had a miscarriage.  When we finally got pregnant again I called my doctor as soon as they opened that monday.  I couldnt wait.  Been trying so hard for so long with so many tests trying to figure out why.  I had my HCG levels checked as well as progesterone which was my problem for not concieving.  Had an ultrasound at 7 weeks to see the heartbeat.  After that it was the standard care.  Baby is doing wonderfully and almost to finish line!

Well, to answer my own question, called doc today, they said they would do blood draws until HcG reaches 2000, and then ultrasound. For my last pregnancy, the ultrasound findings were inconclusive (big scare), and they had to re-do it a week later. Hoping to remain zen about the whole thing!
