I looked on your profile and saw them.... bad angle for gender. I am no expert, But I don't see how you could possibly tell from those photos. We found out at 16 weeks that we are having a boy and the genitals are so smallxat that point that I wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't have a professional telling me.

Good luck though.

Congrats on your baby boy.. smile.gif I was told by
U/S tech that they do this all the time and she
didn't see a turtle she only saw 3dots which
means a girl. The way the baby was facing when
she said she saw the 3dots was the booty up.
I don't know at this point but she even called two
other women that worked there to confirm
babies gender.. but they werent techs.. Jeeeze
I just want to know... Bummer eyesroll.gif

It was an early gender place I paid for mine as well.
Did they do your u/s in 2d? Mine was...
I might just wait til 20wks like you said. I've
read that boys sometimes develop at 6months
So I'll restrain from shopping for pink until then lol...

Sorry....but this isn't right.  Sexual differentiation happens between 8-12 weeks.  But maybe what you mean is that the testicles may not descend before 26-28 weeks.  But you'd definitly still see the penis waaaaay before that!

And not to be too nitpicky, but just in case anyone didn't know this (I have a cousin who didn't, so just covering bases)...  Baby's sex is determined much earlier-- at the moment of conception-- so it can't "change," really, ever.  Or rather, it's not as if there are somehow "unisex" babies who "become" either male or female at 8-12-20-whatever weeks.  They already are, from the very beginning, male or female-- you just can't tell by looking until some time later.

(There are relatively rare cases that have to do with the way sex organs LOOK, that are not always 100% in alignment with the genes.  But genetically speaking, at conception, babes are essentially already programmed/destined to be male, female, or-- verrrrry rarely-- "other" (intersexed).)

But Bena is, of course, 100% correct-- as long as we all understand that differentiation is just the point at which one could visually begin to see differences.  Just noting that the differences have been there all along-- they won't be visible in any sense until 8-12 weeks, though.
