So, I looked in the mirror a few days after I got my positive test and noticed that my teeth are turning see through on my front teeth. My four bottom front teeth are see through from the top until halfway down and the top two teeth are see through a quarter of the way up. I never had this problem before and it seriously only took a few days or so because I look at my teeth regularly and I have not seen that.

Has anyone had their tooth enamel wear out like that in pregnancy? Has anyone ever had it happen this quickly? Did cal/mag supplements help?

Thanks!

I started taking more calcium and my teeth appear to be re-mineralizing. So, yey!

That's good to hear dayiscoming. I was having issues with demineralization earlier this year and made a few changes to my diet, including adding bone broth to the mix, lots and lots of bone broth lol.gif . It was amazing to watch my teeth as they remineralized! I'm having severe aversions to bone broth right now though so I think I may pick up a cal/mag supplement 'til I get back in the groove to avoid any issues. Or at least try to avoid any issues!

I've been taking cal/mag - 500 mg twice a day

vitamin k complex from vitacost - it has MK-7 and MK-4 which can help with remineralizing teeth and stronger bones

and 5,000 iu D3.

Those should all help. It is so freaky to see your teeth do that! LOL Thank God it's going back to normal.

You can talk to your dentist about mi-paste too, if you're not lactose intolerant. You cover your teeth with the paste once a day and wait some minute and spit it out. I've never been consistent enough for it to work, but if you're more disciplined than me, it might work for you!

I agree with the change in the diet. Cut white flour and as many sugary things as you can.

My teeth went VERY bad last time, I had basicaly all my front teeth spoiled. It's a luck I'm in Canada and health insurance covered all the repairs since we have a very low income. To refer to the other thread you started, it wasn't twins. Just one eating all my supplies. I went badly anemic, too.
