Hello!

I was wondering who uses D-Mannose to prevent UTIs? I wasn't always suceptible to them until the last 2 years. I'm paranoid about getting them while pregnant so I've been taking d-mannose daily. Anyone have success with taking it for prevention?

i always take it when i feel an infection coming on. i would just double check with your doctor for it's safety while pregnant. are you drinking plenty of water??

I've been drinking water like a fish and occasionally add pure cranberry juice just to keep things clean. My midwife didn't know about d-mannose but after some research I've found that it is listed as safe. They say it's no different than eating a teaspoon of sugar. Safe for pregnancy, babies and small children.

no experience with d-mannose but I found sugary soda makes my pee burn and holding onto it does too and so does not urinating before and after DTD. HTH

I take it. :)  Like tracyamber, I generally start taking it in larger doses if I feel like anything might be starting.  Otherwise sometimes I just take 1-2 a week.
