I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. Technically, if you want to split hairs, I had pre-e with my first because my blood pressure was high and protein in my urine of 304 (pre-e cut off is 300). It remained very mild though, even went undiagnosed as pre-e by my OB. Well, this time around my blood pressure is normally 100-110/60-70 and at the doctor's office it was 128/108 and on a 2nd try 30 minutes later it was 134/84, both high for me. This prompted a 24 hour urine test and my protein came back at 227. I'm afraid I'm developing the beginnings of pre-e and it will soon progress... Last time my blood pressure never went up until 35 weeks, 27 weeks is so much sooner. Has anyone had pre-e come on like this early and gradually?? I have another 24 hour urine next week...

I had pre-e symptoms with my last pregnancy. I no longer have the literature on it, but basically my midwives had me eating eggs-at least a few a day, because the albumin they contain does something that helps with BP and can help prevent pre-e. When I kept up with eating eggs and drinking enough (1/2 your body weight in oz of water daily), my symptoms went away.
