I don't know where to put this so it is here.  My inlaws had the house treated professionally for fleas when I was 11 and 13 weeks pregnant.  I had major misgivings about the situation but could not prevent it or even leave for more than the few hours considered necessary.  It seems to have been an oil based spray, the worker said it was not a gas, however I found the house to be very foggy when we returned and had to air it for many hours.  I was able to smell the chemicals and get headaches for a week after each application.

So...questions.  What are the chances something is wrong? Can anyone answer that honestly?  I'm afraid that I am being placated with reassurances when everything I've read is very bad news.  Are there any tests that can tell me if there is a problem? If so, how accurate are these tests?  I would choose to end the pregnancy if there were anomalies, but I'm afraid they can't be diagnosed accurately or early enough to allow for this choice.  Please help.

I think it is very probable that the baby is fine. You can do the regular tests to see if there are problems and also speak with your doctor a
or midwife. You can also call the company that did it and ask for information.

All over the world pregnant women are exposed to awful things and usually the baby is fine. What is bad about this situation is that your inlaws didn't give it a second thought. That is so horribly inconsiderate. I hope they know how much grief this is causing you.
