I took a hot bath tonight... maybe 15-20 minutes. I didn't really even think about it being a problem until I got out. I wasn't submerged in the water, it was covering my legs and abdomen. And I was sweating - I usually take these baths with the goal of sweating. I'm just barely pregnant - 4 weeks and a few days. I am trying to tell myself to relax but I am kinda freaking out. About 20 minutes after I got out of the bath I took my temperature and it was down to 98.6. I wonder though what it was when I was sweating and half submerged in hot water?? Ugh.

I wouldn't worry about it. I took hot baths, saunas and hot tubs occasionally in pregnancy with no harm done. You body would likely let you know how hot is too hot- feeling faint or otherwise unpleasant. Congratulations!

I'm a bathtub-a-holic. I have started taking slightly less hot baths (my hot water is turned up illegally high, I love very very hot water) and leaving the door or window partially open to keep my sweaty self cool. It's really more about body temperature than water temperature. 😊

I have continued enjoying the bathtub and my 18 week little one is ticking along just fine.

Congrats on the pregnancy!
