I'm 38 weeks 4 days pregnant with a baby girl, this is my 1st pregnancy. I have been 1 1/2 CM and 50% effaced for 18 days now! Does anyone know how well the primrose oil, inserted vaginally, works? I have already lost my mucus plug, at least most of it. Thanks!! I have already tried walking and lots of sex so this it the route I'm taking now.

How are you feeling today? Did you find and answer for using the primrose?

Evening primrose is used for ripening the cervix. Your cervix sounds pretty ripe already so I'm not sure it would make much difference. And, at not even term yet you have plenty of time.

If you do try it be aware that it can affect blood clotting.

All the best :-)
