Hi I was just told i have anti K. I would love if ANYONE could give me some information. I have a titre of 32 (from blood taken 2 weeks ago) and I am just about 12 weeks pregnant with a little girl. Since I have never had a blood transfusion we are assuming that during my last pregnancy- a c-section- my blood mingled with my Kell positive baby's thus causing me to create antibodies. I am meeting with maternal fetal medicine from Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, RI on Thursay. I wanted to ask if ANYONE knew of an expert in my area (New England) and if you had any advice for me? Are there any questions I should be asking? I know to ask about the MCA scans....my fear is that something is ALREADY happening and if we wait until 16 weeks it will be too late! I read an article and saw something about plasmapheresis at 10 weeks followed by intravenous immune globulin. Could that be a possibility for me? I also read something about intragram? Is that the same sort of therapy? Any information at all that you could give me would be greatly appreciated...I am so scared but have found that knowledge makes me stronger. This is my fourth pregnancy. I have Augie- 9 years old boy (c-section), Asa- 4 years old boy (c-section), early miscarriage (at 7 weeks no fetal pole seen) 6/13, and current pregnancy (Oona) 12 weeks pregnant. I am 41 years old (9/12/72) and my husband is also 41 (8/4/72).
