I posted something similar to this in the beginning days of my pregnancy, but I want to hear a little more from other moms.

 

What does your day typically consist of food wise?

 

Mine looks a little something like this:

 

Breakfast:

Banana

Apple

Greek Yogurt

Blueberries

Cereal

Protein and Fiber Bar

 

Lunch:

Usually lefto overs from night before, or a pita pocket with meat cheese, sprouts and mustard

More fruits

 

Dinner:

Stoganoff

Spaghetti

Meatloaf

Steak

Sweet Potatoes

Veggies

Rolls

 

Mind you, Breakfast is pretty much spread out from the time I get to work to lunch.

 

I do snack on Ice Cream every not and then, and popcorn, and there's some candy. I am also drinking about 1 22 oz soda a week, milk without hormones and and trying to consume 2 liters of water a day.

 

Any advice from others what to throw in there??

Here's what I eat mostly:

Breakfast:

fruit, an egg, sometimes mushrooms and spinach, sausage or bacon

 

Lunch:

leftovers, or

veggies and dip and grilled chicken or sausage, or

salad with tuna, ham, or chicken

 

Dinners:

chili and cornbread

stir fry chicken or beef and broccoli with a little rice

fried rice with lots of chicken or pork, lotsa peas and carrots

mild curry chicken with california blend veggies and a little rice

roast chicken, sweet potatoes, veggies

sauteed zucchini and meatballs and marinara

shepherd's pie of ground beef, mixed veg, and mashed sweet potatoes

chicken pot pie of chicken, mixed veg, and thickened broth

spinach tuna casserole

 

Desserts and snacks:

coconut ice cream

dark chocolate

fruit

nuts/trail mix

jerky

peanut butter

avacadoes

 

Drinks:

small OJ in the morning

lotsa water

sweet tea now and then

lemonade now and then

sometimes herbal teas

 

We feel best when we keep gluten free and low lactose, high fat, low carb, moderately high protein, oh and trying to minimize the cost while keeping to all that.

I've had a love/hate relationship with eggs all my life, and bought some in early pregnancy. Unfortunately, they REALLY hate me now. Maybe in my second trimester I will try them again. Damn, bacon sounds really good now :(
