Anybody have debilitating nausea one day, then none at all the next? I suppose it would make sense if I was nearing the end of the first trimester, but symptoms were just beginning this past week, and were at their worst yesterday. Now nothing all day today... I am 6weeks 2days.

Anybody experience this this early on and *not* miscarry? Thanks.

If the pregnancy was no longer viable, how long before it would be detectable on a pregnancy test? (before the line would begin fading...?)

Hi, it's highly possible! FWIW, my symptoms (especially nausea) would appear and disappear several times during the first trimester (33 weeks now and baby is healthy). I particularly remember them going away at 6 weeks and then coming back with vengeance at 8. It drove me crazy and unfortunately there is not much one can do other than wait and see. Best of luck!

I have had this as well. It is very common for symptoms to come and go in early pregnancy. I went in at 6 weeks and a heartbeat was not detected, and my symptoms had stopped. Well, a week later the heartbeat was there and everything was fine! I have also had early losses, and there was really no way to know which way things were going to turn! But definitely don't worry yourself for symptoms coming and going!

I'm 11wks now and I experienced this.  I would feel sick for 2-3 days and then good for 2-3 days.  This pattern continued from weeks 5-9 and then I started feeling good every day--except for being tired.  Don't borrow trouble.  assume everything is fine unless you have a clear indication that its not. :)

I lost all symptoms the day after my first appointment. My son is currently 33 months old and just fine.

Just to update for others who may find themselves in a similar boat: the nausea returned and intensified! It happened a day and half after I posted, and my being fully resigned to expecting a miscarriage in my near future.

So there ya go. :)

Yay! Expect it to happen a few more times.  That's how it went for me.

Yay, that is great news!!! Only a woman would celebrate nausea...and better yet another woman being nauseous. Creating new life is so magical!!!!

Btw, your post is helping me too. I am still not certain if the symptoms I am experiencing are pregnancy or peri-menopause. Yesterday my symptoms (which my bf and I hope are of pregnancy) disappeared...and today my nausea has returned.
