I am 16 weeks pregnant and am caring for my 7 month old and almost 3 year old. I pulled my back on the left side about halfway up this morning. I wont be able to rest until later and I am a little worried that trying to rest it will just make it seize up and I will be unable to do anything which is def not an option. I put on a back support I had and in an hour or so I will be able to take an epsom salt bath, and I have some Arnica cream to put on. Other than some Tylenol is there anything else I can try? I hve to pick up my DD's Rx later today at the pharmacy so I will be able to pick something else up if it would help.

TIA!!!

Ouch! I hope the arnica gel works, that's what I normally use when my back decides to be uncooperative. I personally doubt that Tylenol will do much, ibuprofen would probably work much better but not a good idea when pregnant sadly.

Thanks. Everything I listed in my first post seems to have helped but you're right, the tylenol hasn't really done much. Oh well, I just don't want to wake up and be unable to move!

Bath with epsom salts help muscles (not too hot though). Check youtube for prental yoga moves. I've pulled muscles during pregnancy (although not with other children!) and these subtle movements with slow, deep breathing help release tension. Can you take a day off from everything? Hire a sitter and have a day where you bathe, do stretches and stay off the back?
