The elderberry syrup I have also has horehound, wild cherry bark extracts and echinacea, plus chamomile and elderberry.

Does anyone know if the horehound and wild cherry bark extracts are safe for pregnancy?

Can you check with your midwife. I imagine the horehound is safe... I know it is an expectorant. But I don't know about the cherry bark.

Yeah, I'll text her in the morning. I've only taken it twice, so I won't take anymore until I ask her. I'm only about 4 weeks, and not having any pregnancy symptoms, so I'm in a stage where I have to remind myself I'm pregnant and think twice about what I take. I have another thing of elderberry (we all have colds right now :( ) that is just honey and elderberry, so I can switch to that.
