I've been noticing them since about 12 weeks but they have become painful/uncomfortable since yesterday. I called the midwife and she said to stay off my feet and drink some water. So far they haven't been painful but I'm worried. Will this happen all the time now? I haven't been pushing myself too hard but I've been running errands-- nothing out of the ordinary though.

Is that normal? Will it stop eventually?

Yep, I had them very early on but they were not painful. I would follow your mw's advice. Maybe it's your body telling thou to slow down!

I was kinda taken back when I was having really noticeable and uncomfortable ones at 17 weeks. This is my 3rd baby and I never remembering having them like this this early. MW said its normal and no problem to have them this early.

I had wonderful labors and births with my first two and had tons of BH with them...so I am going with it. :)

I think I found the culprit. I was constipated and as soon as that was taken care of the pain with the BH contractions seemed to subside but I am still having them, just no pain :) woo hoo
