I just felt off, like something wasn't right. I had random ctxs and a low back ache all day one day (34 wks). I called the next morning and the nurse was dumb and told me to come in if things got regular and painful. I ended up going in that night after more ctxs and that off feeling. I was 2cm and 90% effaced and contracting. They stopped it and Evan was born 4.5 wks later (no one expected him to stay in that long).
Sings can be ctxs, more than 4 an hour I think, low back ache (sometimes it will come and go w/ ctxs), my book I have from my OB says stomach cramps even sometimes (I had this w/ the constant need to go to the bathroom, #2
I went into preterm labor at 23 weeks. I woke up in the middle of the night with lower back pain but didn't really think much of it. The next morning I still had some pain and just felt "off" then I noticed I was spotting a little. I called my midwife and went in to see her. I was 2 cm dilated. I was hospitalized and they were able to stop labor for 2 days. My dd was born at 23 weeks, 6 days and weighed 1 pound 5 ounces.
I had dropped dramatically overnight & had a big huge vein *down there*
other then that nothing.. but David had been born at 36.6 weeks , so Id been warned about preterm labor by my doc
I was 32 weeks .. 2 cms & contracting every 5 mins.. didnt feel it though..
I was hospitilized & put on mag.. dialated up to 4.. but started closing back down the next day after going in.. stayed in almost a week
I had a monitor at home & a pump I stayed on till 36 weeks.. Kay was born 36.3 weeks
Thanks for your replies. I was having a lot less movement, then started having stronger than braxton-hicks type contractions and lower back aches and cramps. I have "dropped" some as well. I don't seem to be diated at all though. All of that has stopped and the kicking has resumed
I am drinking tons of water and making sure to eat well. Dh is off for 2 weeks as well, so I am just taking it really easy and jumping into a hot bath if I feel too much contracting. So far things are a lot better and I feel good about everything. I will definitely keep an eye on things and be conscious if they get as bad as they were before. Thanks for sharing your stories!
