Even before you knew you were pregnant - in retrospect could you look back and find some signs of pregnancy from the very earliest days of conception? Like gassiness, or fatigue, or....

It's been different all 3 times.

W/ my first, I was still in college and in party mode. I went to a party and couldn't stand to even smell the alcohol, so I didn't drink. Was wondering what the heck was wrong with me. On the way out, someone was smoking a cigarette and I almost puked. The MJ smelled oddly good to me, though. :LOL A few days later, my boobs hurt so bad I couldn't stand anything touching me, even my clothes or the shower. I started suspecting something. And then a week later I got morning sickness. I have no idea how far along I was when these things happened. I had been on Depo Provera and it wasn't all that long after missing the next dose (decided to quit b/c of side effects). I hadn't had a period yet and was told it could take months for my fertility and cycles to return and no bc until then.

W/ my second, we did the deed w/out a condom at a bad time and I realized it the next morning. Didn't really feel different until around when my period was late, but I knew I was pregnant the morning I woke up w/ the realization. I do know that when my period was late, I had been putting hot sauce on everything for a few days. My dh knew I was pregnant when I started doing that. I never ate spicy foods EVER from the time I got pg w/ ds1 till I got pg w/ ds2. (isn't that wierd?) That was the first pregnancy he'd seen, but he's very intuitive. LOL!

W/ #3, I had PMSx100 before my period was even due. Then I had implantation spotting 2 days before my period was due and I kinda knew (even though I'd never had implantation spotting before and didn't even know that's what it was.) I got morning sickness about the day my period was due. I had no reason to suspect I was pregnant since we had been using the methods in Take Charge of Your Fertility and had not messed up. I chalk this baby up to a leaky condom. No other explanation. We never noticed anyhting wrong w/ the condom either.

this time: an awful metallic taste in my mouth

With DS, before I knew or even suspected, I realized these signs later: dizzy spells, fatigue, very sore and tingly breasts (I would usually get that to a lesser degree just before my period started, but it was much more sore and sensitive).

With this pregnancy, it was different. I knew I was pregnant when DS fell asleep on the couch and DH and I had the bed to ourselves :LOL . No kidding. And I didn't really experience any "signs" at all early on. No nausea, no heartburn, not even fatigue. I didn't start feeling pregnant until I started feeling the baby kick.

Metal taste in my mouth. Like sucking on a penny - sort of could smell it, sort of taste it. Yuck!

Gas pains - horrible, doubled over, waking up from a sound sleep kind of gas pains.

Craving spicy foods and ginger. When I put red pepper flakes and ginger salad dressing on my taco DH just stared at me and said "you're pregnant." About a week later we found out he was right.

(I'm hoping I am again, maybe that would explain why I'm sitting here wolfing down the entire wok-ful of spicy kimchi-based stir-fry. : )

Tingling, stinging nipples. That started pretty shortly after conception, a week maybe (it’s been a while).

With my first two I couldn't stand meat...couldn't smell it, touch it, cook it, eat it, for the first few months.

These last two, I had no inkling at all until I started feeling movement!

Very painful boobs, 1st sign with all 3 pgs. This time the painful boobs came about the exact same time as the incessant burping.

both times:
extreme sensitivity to smells.
my dog having an unusual interest in my urine, sniffing the toilet, following me everywhere, acting very sweet.

with my second, all of the above, plus DD1 telling DH "Mommy preggand" about a week before AF was even due to start.

ETA - I thought of another one - my cervix didn't do it's usual thing right before AF, it stayed hard and closed instead.

My breasts turned into bags of pain.

And this time -- I think I am pregnant -- I got really queasy and have been nauseated every day. Super-smell, too.

: I've been pregnant three times. For me, the first sign is always an intense craving for dairy products, which normally I don't like much. Yeah, weird, I know. I've never heard anyone else claim that as an early pregnancy symptom. Dairy is the only food I can stomach in the first trimester.

Next is usually the gassiness; the tired-like-I'm-gonna-fall-asleep-standing feeling usually takes a few weeks to kick in.

Nothing that I didn't get as part of my normal post-ovulatory cycle- tender breasts and nipples, so on.

But I also knew fairly soon; I was charting and also ttc.

I tried to go for a run and I couldn't because it hurt my breasts too bad! I also was pretty crampy, I thought AF was coming for sure but it turns out that I'm pregnant!
