Help! I had my first baby at 35 weeks, and now I have some pink spotting and I am only 34 weeks today! Should I bother my doctor about this or is this normal???

It could be nothing. Do you know where your placenta is? If it's low it may cause spotting, but pink wouldn't be such a big deal. Your cervix could have dilated a bit, but then it may stop and do nothing for 10 weeks.

Call your provider, they will tell you how worried they are in the context of your whole pregnancy. Likely, they'll have you in, listen to the heart rate and check for any ctx, and send you home!

Good luck to you!

Thanks, I called my doctor and she did not seem very concerned. The spotting has stopped anyway. I was freaking out because I am NOT prepared for a baby yet! I want them to stay in! I have a toddler who needs me and bags to pack! Ack!

Thanks again!

Unless you recently had sex, I think you should get checked just to rule it out. It could be nothing but it could mean you're dilating or the placenta is not placed very well. Esp given your history of pre-term labor, it's best to be safe.

I'd get checked. Especially if this is not normal for you. I have never ever spotted late in pregnancy, so if I did I would worry and get checked.

Call your care provider and update them on your situation.

Thanks for all the responses. The baby is still in there moving around and everything. I have had no more 'bloody show', and fewer bh contractions than usual. I have been in contact with my doc, and she is not very concerned. I am going to get checked tomorrow morning anyway.

You guys are so nice. Shucks .
