It *is* normal for BH contractions to start earlier with each pregnancy, and they often can be *very* uncomfortable/painful, even. But it's important to know whether they're causing any cervical changes, and since you've had PTL in the past, it would be prudent to make sure that you aren't having cervical changes now as a result of the BH you're feeling.
