For those of you who had the first baby AFTER their due date, I'd like to ask whether your second baby arrived late as well (assuming you weren't induced)

I understand that many of us here have 3+ kids, but I am particularly interested in 2nd babies right now.

My first two babies were both born 5 days late and both on a Tuesday. I thought my third would go past the due date, but she arrived two days before. Hey, I'll take it!

S (DS1) was due May 1st, 1993 - confirmed by conception date and 2 ultrasounds, arrived June 14th, 1993. Yes, you read that right. Apparently looooooong pregnancies run in my exh's family. S was born with minimal pain medication, vaginally. Scored 9 of 9 on his apgar, just had less of the white cheesy stuff on his skin then "normal" (8lbs, 4ozs).

T (DS2) was born at 39/40 wks (1/23/2003, EDD was 1/27/2003) because my water broke. Contractions didn't start, so the doctor started them (that was a mistake, I now think), T's head got wedged against my pelvic bone, causing a severe bruise on his face and resulted in an emergency c-section (he wouldn't move down the birth canal). He also scored a 9 of 9, was 8lbs 15.8ozs.

My first was born at 42 weeks, she was 7lb 10oz. She was little but very mature, absolutely no vernix and very wide awake. Her cord stump fell off when she was about 20 hours old!

My second was born at 37w 4d, he was 7lb. He was covered with vernix! The towel we wrapped him in when he was first born was stuck to him! His cord stump took over 3 weeks to dry and fall off.

Best wishes!
Sarah
