I know that electric blankets and hot tubs are out because they raise the body's overall temperature too high....but what about heating pads? Is there also an issue with the electricity?

My lower back is aching sooo bad today, I would love some relief!

My doc recommended using a heat pad during my first pregnancy when I was having some terrible pain from being kicked repeatedly in the same spot until it bruised my uterus...long story. Anyway, my doc was the one who told me to use one, but only on low setting. Ask your doc if you are really concerned.
