My mother took an anti-nausea drug (that is no longer available in the US - so now it's an illegal drug though it was legal when she took it) when she was pregnant with me because at the end of her first trimester she had lost 15 pounds. And my mom weighed 105 pounds before she got pg with me (she's only 5-ft, .5-inch tall) so it's not like she had the weight to lose and still be okay.

I didn't have any choice about whether or not to have that drug put in my body, but I'm very thankful that my mom DID take it because otherwise I might not be here. I'm sure that the children of mamas who need to use cannabis medicinally during pregnancy feel the same way about their mamas cannabis use.

Just to give a different perspective :

love and peace.

mama to two girls and due in November!

i am hypothetically a child of a hypothetical mj smoker while she was hypothetically pregnant.
i am a GENIUS.
not kidding. tho its hard to tell from my posts, with my typos, bad typing grammar, etc, i am technically a genius.

and until i started eating a typical american diet when i hit puberty, etc i was a very healthy child.
and truth be told, even though i am obese, i am still VERY healthy.

also lets just say that i am a hypothetical pregnant mama that has had some hypothetical SPD problems coupled with joint pain and early morning sickness that was bad enough to almost pass out from lack of nutrition, but not bad enough to be HG.
lets also say this hypothetical pregnant mam, and mother of toddler has hypothetically used mj as a medicinal herb to help with the intense pain and morning sickness.
my toddler is very healthy inspite of hypothetical treatment.
and my fetus will be healthy as well.

and they will more than likely grow up to be GENIUS as well. DD is already a HIGHLY gifted child.

Speaking from experience...there IS no "fun kickback"...not even slightly, from taking 2 tokes in order to combat nausea. It does just that, takes away the nausea. It just made me feel like I did any other day before I had m/s....normal.

.....and hey, AddysMama...you spelled "genius" wrong

thanks frenchie.
i wrote that shortly after hypothetically taking some medicine for my bad joint pain.

and for me, there is a kickback, the one of relaxation and pain relief. so yeah i would call that a kickback.
not necc a fun one.... but a kickback none the less
also... i have had fun kickbacks... in COLLEGE when i was single and had no children.
this.. not it.
