So, what exactly IS his role????

That sounds so stupid, but in your experiences, what did your DH/DP do that was helpful to you (not sreaming PUUUSSSSSSH! )

You know what I mean? We both want him to be involved- what can you tell me that I can't learn from Bradley?

Well for us dh was in charge of keeping me comfortable and happy. Cool enough. Warm enough. In a good position. Wearing (or not wearing) comfortable clothes. Water and juice to drink. Snacks to eat. Rubbing my back. The right lights on. The right music on. Giving me my every whim. He did a very good job.

He was just there. Hard to explain really He was there whenever I needed something, or didn't need anything. Basically what Angela said I wasn't relying on him for labour support, just everything else!

mum to a crew...

DH stayed nearby and kept quiet mostly. And he was there when I needed to bite someone Their role should be whatever YOU want it to be-i.e. they do everything you tell them to do during labor, and if that involves dressing up in a clown suit and chanting MEN ARE WEAK, MEN ARE WEAK then he better hop to it! :
