> FYI - Pregnancy alters Blood Test (a few examples)
Well, the whole story is long and I'd rather just say we were trying to up my life insurance coverage and it's been a frustration that I am now DONE with as in I'm dealing with those people no more the medical exam was faulty in more areas than 1, the nurse wrote down that wrong information and I was denied.
My labs were also messed up. I called my family doctor's office b/c I thought to myself, if my results have changed this much in 18 months I've really got a serious problem...
My cholesterol Total value in May 05 was 112 - very good, it's genetic.
My Life Ins blood draw ran a cholesterol panel the total was 276!!!
The answer -- DO NOT DO CHOLESTEROL TEST DURING PREGNANCY, it RAISES THE RESULTS MORE THAN NORMAL!!!
My doc said I'm fine, not to worry, it's b/c the test are altered during pregnancy. Well, that is a relief! And some people wonder why there are a few crazy women out here that refuse all blood test during pregnancy -- I'm one of those for OB purposes, but this was my dh asking me to do this for Life Ins so I complied.
