Does anyone know where to find a picture of where all your organs go to in the last trimester, especially the 9nth month? I'm just really curious. All the pics at the Drs office show your insides like they are hallow & just waiiting to be filled by a growing fetus.

Here's a model one - http://www.anatomy-resources.com/hum...tomy/sh400.htm

And a drawn picture one - http://iws.ccccd.edu/mweis/Images/Po..._pregnancy.JPG or http://preview.tinyurl.com/ylwy5s

Can't say I'd recommend doing a google search on this one.

I asked about ovaries during my first pregnancy, since as I understand it, they kind of hang out by the fallopian tubes, not connected really to anything (except surrounding supportive tissues). Midwife told me they go up by your sides, a little under your ribcage...and then everything magically goes back into place post-partum.

Neato, eh?

laughup That's why I came here first! I all I could think of was "where do your organs go?" & I figured that would not be a pretty google search!

Although I didn't think of using "anatomy". Thanks!

There is a video type Flash movie of it out in cyberspace somewhere (I book marked it on DH computer) that shows how the organs move from their original positions to month 9. Very facinating!
I'll try and remember tonight to post a link of someone hasn't already done it.

No wonder we get heartburn! Everything that used to take up our whole abdomen is just smushed together under there!

So apparently they all go up and then get totally squished up there.

In love with Dh since 1998. We created Ds (7.1.03), Dd (10.16.06) and Dd (3.16.09).

They don't entirely go back to where they were before. My intestines were permanently re-routed. I always feel little air bubbles going around (I'm a gassy person, no point in denying it), and since my baby was born, now the upper limit of gas bubbles seems to be two inches higher -- above my belly button now.

Maybe they got hooked on something?
