Does it actually hurt anyone else when baby kicks? It doesnt always hurt, just sometimes. It seems to be painful mostly when she kicks/pokes down low in my abdomen. Is this normal? I don't remember kicks ever hurting with my son..... could there be something wrong down there?

More than likely it is completely normal. When Baby gets bigger and stronger they can pack more punch.

Married to DH 7 years and have three fantastic kiddos! DS 6, DD 4, and DS 2 ...... lo and behold another is on the way!

That may be.... it's just weird to me that my son didnt hurt when he kicked, but this one does! Hmmmm, is this an indication of this baby's personality?

Sometimes I get a swift kick to the cervix (or thereabouts) that hurts. Sometimes it will happen and trigger a lower BH contraction which makes it even more fun.

It could be different if you placenta is in a different place this time... I think it can act as padding depending on where it is. Or your muscles are more stretched out, since you've already had a baby in there, or the positioning is slightly different, etc. I think it's normal, so long as it doesn't persist.

I had many painful kicks with #4, she was also my biggest baby but I'm not sure if it's that or the fact that things were just placed differently. I am currently 33+ weeks with #5 and other than a few cervix (ish) blows I haven't had any painful kicks - yet

Depending on how much pain you're talking about, I'm having it, too I think. My baby seems to spend most of his or her time really low, and I get a lot of kicks in the cervix or pubic bone or near my hip and those sort of hurt (I mean I don't start crying or anything). When s/he's up higher and kicks in the middle of my tummy it just sort of tickles.

ETA: I just started getting some "painful" kicks so I wanted to add that it seems to be that the ones that hurt are because I'm getting kicked in the bladder or something.

Oh I hate the kicks that are aimed at the cervix. It's like someone shocked me with electricity or something. Not pain really, just a "YEOW!" kind of thing.

Kicks to a full bladder aren't to great either.

My first one regularly had me in tears near the end of the pregnancy. He used to kick HARD, up high and under my ribs though.
