Has anyone taken this? I don't want to mess with anything I shouldn't, but it looks pretty straightforward http://www.birthjunkie.com/5week_formula.html with:

• squawvine
• blue cohosh
• blessed thistle
• red raspberry leaf
• false unicorn
• motherwort
• wild ginger
• lobelia
• wild yam
• bayberry root bark

Almost a b-ball team: : Taylor -14, Alex -11, Jack -8, Lachlan born at home 11/15/07

I'd be uncomfortable taking the blue cohash and false unicorn in pregnancy.

I took it last pg, my mw has started using it instead of the 5w formula she used for years. I intend to use it again this time.

I thought it was a great uterine toner/labor prep formula. OTOH, my previous pregnancies were great and labor was no big deal. So it's hard to say if it made a huge difference for me, since I have no complaints about labor without the polly-jean formula, either, KWIM?

And, I've never done "overdue"....not even close. DD was closest to her due date and she was 10 days early, so again it wasn't that I needed the help.

I think the most definitive reason I can give for choosing to use it again this time is that (since I had extra, since ds was born at 38 weeks) I felt that it was very helpful to me postpartum. I healed very quickly and felt more balanced during the first couple weeks than I did after my first 2 were born. That alone makes it worthwhile, IMO!

I actually got into a bit of a debate about the product on another AP board.....I don't think I'm allowed to post a link to that discussion though, am I?
