Thanks for the log idea! I checked with the nurse and she said she'd be happy to give me a copy... and give me visualization and breathing exercises to help.....

I'm starting to get really excited!!!

Oh good! I'm so happy to see this update! Congratulations! I second the protein... seems to keep me full longer... that is one of the annoying things about pregnancy... I am soooo tired of eating. It was especially hard in the first tri... I wasn't throwing up but I had strong food aversions and had trouble finding anything that sounded good yet I had to do it several times a day!

Good luck and woohoo!!!!!!

Awesome update!!! Congrats!!! You can look online and find good food choices for feeding the little piglet growing inside you... Just try to remember not to over eat and pregnancy is not a time to literally "eat for two"... It's really not that easy for a lot of women to lose the extra weight and can really make you miserable once the little one is born.. just speaking from experience... Skim milk, whole grains, fruit, cheese, all GOOD stuff!!!! Oh and of course some chocolate in the middle of the night when no one is watching!!! YEAH!!!! I'm so excited for you!!!!

Just wanted to post a quick update, but i can't figure out how to edit the title, you know, with "update" in it, so i'll just bump the thread...

You ladies were all correct! I AM pregnant... about 18 weeks!!!

Crazy, since my midwife estimated me at 8 weeks based on my bloodwork... but my ultasound today showed a little baby swimming around, about 18 weeks along.... My due date is April 28

I'm so excited, and so lucky!!!

Off to join my DDC!

Thanks ladies!

Same thing happened to me - I was on birth control from 14 years old to 26 years old, then became anorexic and lost my natural hormones entirely. I worked hard to get better and healthy, but no periods.

One day after routine bloodwork (I was 29), the discovered I was pregnant! The first egg my body produced in many, many years was fertilized and *blammo* DD just turned 3 last Saturday

Doctors sometimes don't have a clue and would rather see you on piles of fertility drugs.

Congratulations!!

WOW that's awesome! Hooray for your body really knowing what to do! And extra hoorays for getting to be fast forwarded into the 2nd trimester!
I have the same problem with high blood pressure in a doctors office, so when they are taking it I try really hard to relax and just focus on my breathing, and when it was bad I would keep a log and show them that I was okay. I'm a little better now, I always get the same nurse and she's so calming for me. But I still know that it's a little higher than normal for me, but it's still in the normal range for them.
And also congrats!
