I know "loose bowels" are a sign of impending labor, but I'm talking about full fledged diarrhea. I've had it now for 3.5 days and it isn't getting better, but it's not getting worse. It's just there. I feel fine otherwise, just tired, but I'm 39 weeks pregnant. Could this be solely attributed to hormones or do I really have some sort of bug that won't go away? I broke down and took a few half doses of Kaopectate during the night last night so I'm waiting to see if that helps. I'm also taking probiotics and trying to stay away from a lot of fruit. I'm fine during the day, but when the food I've eaten catches up with me, I'm pretty much going every 3 hours or so. (*sigh*)

I have had loose stools this entire pregancy but not like what you are describing. My first thought is that your body is preparing for birth but it seems to be going on for while compared to what I have heard.
Hopefully someone else has more experience and can offer some insight
