I know that I don't drink enough fluid (not near the 8 cups of water) thru out the day but I still go to the bathroom several time in an hour during the day and during the night, I go every 2 hours or so.
I am wondering if I'm losing fluid more than I should and why I still need to go to the bathroom so much.
I'm in 17 weeks. Anyone experience this?
TIA.

I still get this at 34 weeks, and I drink 5-6 glasses a day most days (I know, and I'm working on it). At night I get up to pee every 1 1/2 hours, and there is some real volume to it! I think some of it has to do with the increased volume of blood = increased volme of water in our bodies. So you just have a bigger store fluids to draw from.

Plus I think the babies just like to torture us!

I'm a chronic pee-er too.

Laying down actually stimulates your kidneys..(Which is why you almost always have to pee like crazy when you wake up.) So the increase of water and then resting makes you have to go pee.

You're filtering the baby's amniotic fluid as it changes out, in addition to what you're drinking.

Do you have any burning with urination? Foul smelling urine? Could be a UTI.

I was just about to post the same reply. I've had more UTI's than I can count over the years and that has always been a symptom.

Get checked for an UTI just in case. If it's not though, it can be a totally normal pregnancy symptom- last night I went to the bathroom multiple times and I stopped drinking water long before I even went to bed! So frustrating.
