If you're talking each individual pregnancy, It took me one or two months to conceive each pregnancy. I think the longest was 3 cycles, but I wasn't charting and all that for two of those months. I took 2 month breaks between each loss.

If you're talking sticky babies, these ones took a year and a half to conceive.

But I always thought that that average was out of whack with what I've heard from people I know who got pregnant and from pregnancy boards I've been to. It makes sense that the average is brought way up by people who take months and years. Funny, they don't tell you that in all those articles with percentages.
I'll commiserate with you.

With DS, I was 19. It was my first month off the pill but I wasn't TTC!
With DD, I was 24 and it was our second month TTC.
This time I'm 28 and we got lucky on our first month.

It took us just over a year of trying to conceive (and that's with charting and well timed bding). I have long cycles though so I think it was our 11th cycle.
I completely understand how frustrating it can be when so many seem to get it on the first try (I had to take a couple breaks from the ttc board b/c it was too hard). For me, once I finally became pregnant, all the heartache of ttc just melted away. It will happen for you too!

I have to admit, I've been trying for 13 months, and I'm a little sad to see that so many only tried for 1 month.
I have read that even without medical intervention, 90% of women who didn't get pg in the first 12 months, will get pg in the next 12 months. I'd still get things checked out - just in case something is a problem so you can speed things up!

I have 2 children right now. A 3 year old and a 9 month old. I am 24. Both of these pregnancies were not planned, so I am not sure HOW long it took me to conceive.

My son is 9 months old, and I am about 6-8 weeks pregnant... not sure how far because I havent had my first appointment.

I've been pregnant 6 times but lost 3, and anyway, conception was the easy part for us, anything from imediate to 4 months trying.

My first pregnancy was unplanned, I was 26. I got pregnant with my second (planned, I was 28) on the first try. It took me 22 months to get my period after my first was born. I only had one period, then I was pregnant again!
