I'd love to see a sub-forum for "Traditional Menstrual Care/Practices."

Anyone else?

Such things belong in Natural Home and Body Care.

We do not have a forum currently dedicated to the issue but I can add it to the list of requests.

i agree! i was really wanting a special place to post about celebrating my first pp af after ds. it had nothing to do with the pp aspect or anything, just the celebrating of the flow of life blood.

it would be nice to have a forum relating to traditional menstrual care/practices/celebrations.

It's definitely something that goes under-appreciated in modern society - and as my girls get older I need to spend more time and energy focused on how to properly honor their monthly cycles and care for their bodies and minds during the various times of the month.

There is a lot of negativity surrounding one's "period" - cramps, bloating, inability to do certain activities, expensive disposable menstrual products, odor, etc.- it's time women reclaimed this beautiful force as their own and as the life-blood of generations.

I think a forum is too much. But a tribe would be nice. But does it belong in Natural Home and Body Care, or in Finding Your Tribe?

Natural Body Care seems well-suited for menstrual discussion

I have retired from administration work, so if you have a question about anything MDC-related, please contact Cynthia Mosher. Thanks!

You could post that in Fertility.

Honestly, we have so many forums and sub-forums already, that another one would just get lost in the shuffle, and lead to more posts being moved to other forums for being "off topic."

Hehe.. I have no desire to honor my period. Please go away!

However for those that wish too, I think posting in natural body care is enough. I really don't think it needs it's own forum. No one would find it.
