I'm not due in December, but in scrolling to my DDC link, I noticed the December thumbnail-a pregnant mama with a child in a Santa hat and a Christmas tree in the background. I actually do celebrate Christmas myself, but I think December could be much better represented by a photo that is inclusive of all mamas who may be expecting that month, not just those who celebrate Christmas. To be totally honest, I'm surprised that there would be a photo for an entire month of expecting women that was only represented by a single religious holiday, and not something that was inclusive to all beliefs, especially since Mothering has always tried to maintain an atmosphere of being inclusive to all in how it approaches things.
Just my $.02.
jamie. crinkly (not quite crunchy) mama to 4 amazing girls, an awesome little boy, and a little surprise making a debut this winter.
Hi. Thanks for your feedback. The pictures that go with the DDCs are decided upon by the members/leaders, not by admin. So, that group chose that picture. If you feel that a picture is not appropriate, you can bring it up in the group for discussion. :)
