I changed the setting to allow more characters.

Would you like to try an automated ticker in your signature and it updates itself?

I don't know if this has come up, but I miss the "spoiler alert" function. Can that come back or is it gone for good?

I'm really enjoying having the "thread starter" and "Post 367 of 2597487" features back on the posts. As minor as they seem, they're something I was really missing. THANKS!

You need to first create your ticker. I like the ones at Lilypie.com but you can check out others.
Create it then grab the BB Code and place it in your signature in your UserCP. If you have any problems just let me know.

I think that's in our list of things to do. Not sure how long it will take but hopefully it will be soon.

I'm having a few issues -

One (and I did look at my setting and thought I had them set correctly) I do not get any notifications that I have a PM unless I log on. Why is that? Can anything be done? I have been looking at all the setting and I can't understand what isn't checked?

I would also like to know why on the "view profile" page (right side) is it listed who has viewed the profile? Why is this public and not private? IF it is to remain public why is there no date/time stamp?
I can't grasp what purpose this serves and for who? I can see that you can make it "private" but what is the purpose here? If it is private and only who you select can view it, will you still know who is trying to view it?

I find this somewhat stalk-ish. Please explain.

Infractions? Given in 2013 but expires in 2038 and 2040 - does have one really feel someone will be a member in those years?????

This is something that I need to look at. It seems that infractions we unreversed with the transfer. When I set up the infractions system previously, there wasn't an option for having an infraction that didn't expire, so I put in 10000 days. This was primarily for bookkeeping, in the old system they dropped off and were no longer viewable once they expired. But with the change it reads pretty weird.

my gripes

I pretty much hate this new interface.

It's annoying to have the thread title all the way on the left and the forum all the way on the right.

I don't like having to hunt down the new posts link. It should be our front, not in a drop-down.

And for some reason, whenever I click a thread title, it takes me down to the last post on page 1. No big deal is there aren't many replies but very annoying when it's a long page.

Yes, these are first world problems. It's all still very annoying.

Looks like she's not getting notifications that she's been mentioned either? I've read her posts on other threads between this post & now.

Can the thread title be put back at the top of the mobile version? Reading this thread about it being merged w/ another I wasn't sure which I was reading. I'm on an iPhone in iOS 5 I believe, in safari.

Thanks for all that's been done so far. I hope the little things continue to be worked on!

I NOW do get email notifications, I still don't know what wasn't checked as I looked and looked at the privacy settings - so I have no clue!

I still would like to know about this -

Wondering if we can add back a way to expand the posting box on the "quick reply"??

It was a great feature, especially when you're multi-quoting several posts at once, and don't want to have to scroll back to see what you wrote move than 10 lines ago.

Also, is there going to be a space added in above signature lines?? It looks so strange having the signatures run into the posts and many people are just dropping sigs entirely because it's hard to read them

I must say the I think it's ridiculous that a site for adults that is all about peace and love and gentle discipline even gives "infractions". It seems a bit "shaming" to me. I once ran a large fan club/message board for a well known musician and ran the board for almost a decade. If someone was a problem and broke rules, we banned them. Of course, our only rules were no cursing and no porn.

This newest board change isn't user friendly and it's hard on the eyes, IMO. And for some reason it won't allow me to submit via "quick reply".

I'm missing how I can mark subscribed threads as "read" without unsubscribing to them. I can only do this with forums and it doesn't affected my threads subscription page.

Who has viewed the profile - it's simply a feature of vBulletin. I suppose some find benefit to it. It only holds a few views at a time so it is updated every so often to only show you those who last visited over X number of days. Not sure how many days that is but if it's important to you I can find out. Unfortunately I can't add a date/time stamp though. It's not built in so it would have to be developed.

I think the carry over from one site to another messed up the infractions expiration dates. We're going to try to remove all infractions prior to 2013.

No need to add it back. It's already tehre, just not where you're used to it being. Look at the upper right corner of the reply box for double arrows pointing up and down. That will expand the reply box.

If you can tell us more about what system you are using (computer, browser, mobile device) we can try to help figure out what the issue is that is preventing you from being able to submit via quick reply.

When you read a thread it should automatically be marked as read. You shouldn't need to mark it as read yourself. Are you wanting to mark it/them as read even though you have not read them?

I'm not the PP but my thread subscriptions says I have one unread post but I can't find it anywhere. I would think that the "mark all forums as read" would clear that out, but it's not working.

and thanx for the info about making the posting window bigger. It's very clunky but at least it's there =)

I don't always want to read the thread, but don't want to unsubscribe from it either. Seems nitpicky, but on the old format I could do this. It would keep turning up if it was active to the top of my subscriptions and I might read it then. Other threads I do check in on every time I see it. I just want this option back. Currently I have to either read it or unsubscribe to it. Now that our numbers are back (I do appreciate that) I'd like the option to reset it again.

There may be a way to do it that I'm not aware of.

@verticalscope - would you please let us know if it is possible to mark a thread as read without unsubscribing from the thread, as @SweetSilver says she'd like to do?
