I'm happy to have the post numbers, too. However, I think having the additional user info (post count and join date) adds a bit too much clutter to the mobile version. That could just be me, though...what do others think?
Very good question. Does anyone else feel it clutters up the mobile version?

The avatar fits the space with the added information even though the information seems unnecessary. I frankly don't care about when people joined unless it is a fishy thread then I click through.

I like the addition of post numbers. Thank you for that. The extra user info is unnecessary and too cluttered IMO. I'd like to be able to click the user name and get it but I don't need it there on every post.

I would like the OP in each thread flagged somehow so I don't have to keep scrolling back to see who it was.

I second the request to have the forum shown at the top of the thread as well as the bottom. I'd also like to be able to see it on the new posts page. You often can't tell from a thread title where it is and something posted inToddlers may be relevant to me but the same thread in Special Needs isn't. For example.

While I'm here, I'll just mention a couple of other things.

When I click on a thread, it is still pretty random whether it will go to the first post or first unread post.

Is there anyway to see a preview of the most recent post from the New Threads page. I find it a bit confusing that you see the last posters user name and straight underneath is a preview of the first post. Those two things don't match IYKWIM.

Also some threads don't show any preview at all. Just the thread title.

I appreciate the changes which have happened. Thank you.

Yes, I agree that it is cluttered. I'd be happy with user name and post number. Simple and straightforward.

Oh, and for both the mobile and desktop sites - I think just having #__ of ___ is fine, I don't think we need the word "post" on there.

Monkey (30) + Pirate (28) = a forever family (5/10) - Baby Bird (8/12), our long-awaited first, one (9/13 @ 7w 6d), and a (10/6/14)

Something else I just noticed. When you used to click on someone's user name you went to a page which had a box containing their stats - no of posts, joined date etc - and below that their most recent posts. I can't see a way now to go to a particular user's posts. I found it useful when someone posted something unusual or provocative to see what their history was before responding.

Hey Katelove,

Do you see this page?

If you do see the page all you have to do is click on the circled option I have shown you and there you will see options for the posts.

Please let me know if this helps you out in any way

I don't see that page when I click on someone's name. Just their name and a place to click to to send them a message.

This has probably been mentioned already. I would really like to see what forum or subforum a post is in indicated on a thread. When bowsing on the New Posts we see just the thread title, and it is often too vague to know whether the post is of interest.

I just tried a mobile search today (after finally finding the button)...and it returned only results from today?! Can we change the default on that, or at least have an option to do a more advanced search?

Hmm... tried the same search on my desktop, without specifying any date range, and still got the same single result (though without the bar notifying me it was only threads updated today. I can't bring myself to believe that the word "glucose" has only been mentioned in one thread on this site, ever in all of history. Something is definitely off with the search function.

It's the vBulletin search doing this - the Google search pulls up 7,000+ results, but I'm less fond of the results formatting.

Thanks for all the work! I appreciate seeing the improvements.

Can we have a "like" button for the mobile version?

I'm also in the camp of folks wanting less info about the writer of a post. I can view their profile if I want to know more. I like to see:
Poster's name
Date and time of post
Post number within the thread
Identification of the original poster

I do not need:
Number of likes
Date of joining

Total number of posts is something I occasionally find useful.

Thanks!

Can't locate a search button at all when in the forums area. It does appear on the main page. I am in mobile on an android browser.

Also, when I touch the menu button, the menu that appears cannot be scrolled down or closed. I have to use the back button to escape.

Mobile usability for me is so poor. I so miss using this site!

I have had the same results with my searches. I wrote a post here about it a week or so ago and haven't seen a change yet. I hope this gets sorted out; it changes the usability of the site completely.

How is the conversion going? Any updates? I am still noticing some issues with the mobile version (iPhone/Dolphin).

- when I click on a thread it seems completely random whether I will be taken to the first post, the first new post or the top of the last page.

- still can't see what forum a thread is in without clicking on the thread and scrolling all the way to the bottom.

- no way of identifying the OP if they reply on a thread

- still confusing where the preview is from the OP but the user name is the most recent poster.

I know it's a long process and I appreciate that people are working hard.

Cheers
Kate

Except the first issue, I agree with all Kate has said. (I'm using the built-in Android browser). Additionally, when I open the sidebar menu, the Close Menu button doesn't scroll down when I try to scroll down the menu (which won't all fit on one screen), the button ends up almost covering the link to my private messages. I can still click on it, but it's visually annoying.

I'll add that I'd like to see people's signatures even if they post from a mobile device. Right now, it appears that it doesn't show up.

See, this is posted from my computer.

But wait, could it really be true?

When you click on a username in mobile (on an iPhone, 5 maybe? In safari, iOS 6) all you get is the ability to PM the person, no links to their posts, etc. I'd like to be able to do more than just PM someone, something I rarely do.

Thanks.
Sus

TS is added to the name of the thread starter in mobile. That one was simple so I just wanted to post an update. I will work on the rest now.

To clarify, you want links to posts added to the list of things you see when you click a user profile. Is there anything else you need added?
